We Build More Than Houses
At Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia we build more than houses...we transform lives. As an organization, our goal is to eliminate poverty and homelessness from the face of the earth by building adequate and basic housing.
In Northern Virginia, we have been working towards that goal by facilitating the dream of homeownership for over 70 families who would not have been able to do it on their own. As our mission continues, we are ensuring that all of our words and actions are for the ultimate purpose of putting shelter on the hearts and minds of everyone in our community. Our main wish is for poverty housing to become socially, politically and religiously unacceptable in Northern Virginia and throughout the world.
We are excited to continue our mission as we move forward with our goal to continue building in Northern Virginia. We have embraced the changing times and have overcome many challenges and we are proud to say that we will start construction on a 12 unit condominium in Arlington, Perry Hall. 12 families will have homes to call their own, thus bringing us one step closer in our mission to provide simple, decent and affordable housing to those in need.
