Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia often hosts or attends special events to promote our affiliate. We are always in need of volunteers to attend these events as representatives of HfHNV. Volunteers are needed on a somewhat regular basis for this opportunity and will be provided with a calendar of events in advance.
HfHNV Ambassadors serve as representatives of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia in their local areas. They give presentations to a variety of groups in their areas, telling them about our special work. HfHNV Ambassadors are entrusted with the responsibility of representing HfHNVin a professional manner and raising the awareness of HfHNV’s mission and programs. HfHNV Ambassadors must be very comfortable with public speaking. If you apply and are selected, we will provide you with a DVD to show, promotional information to hand out, and a presentation format. Selected volunteers will be invited to attend a special orientation session. Here, they will learn about Habitat’s mission, work and programs in order to educate the public at outreach events.
