Become a Homeowner

Habitat for Humanity brings the community together to build homes for families who are our neighbors. In Northern Virginia there are thousands of families who qualify to become Habitat homeowners. You may be one of those families! Habitat homes are a hand-up, not a hand-out, to the families who cannot qualify for other homebuyer programs but dream of simple, decent and affordable homes where their children can thrive.

The process of becoming a Habitat homeowner starts with a phone call to the Habitat office to request an information package. We'll add your name and address to our mailing list. When Habitat has property where we can build a single house or a community we will hold an orientation and invite the people who are on our list to attend. This meeting is the first and most important step in the process of becoming a Habitat homeowner.
