ReStore

The Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia ReStore is a resale business that sells new and used building and home improvement materials to the public.  Materials are donated by local retail businesses, building contractors, suppliers and people and resold to 50 – 90% below retail prices. The Habitat ReStore furthers HFHNV’s mission since all proceeds go toward Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia’s mission.

ReStore volunteers are needed to help ReStore staff members in collecting and receiving donated materials, stocking and organizing items on the sales floor and assisting customers.

Volunteers for the ReStore must be 12 years or older. Volunteers 12 – 15 must be accompanied by an adult (age 21 or older) and have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.  Volunteers 16 – 17 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian but may volunteer on their own.

Volunteer Dress:  casual (t-shirt, sweatshirts, jeans). Wear clothing you can get dirty, including sturdy boots and closed-toed shoes. Sandals are not permitted.
