Current Opportunities

We are currently in need of volunteers for the Marketing Committee and Resource Development Committee (Fundraising).

If you are interested and have expertise in marketing, please contact Virginia Patton. If you have expertise in fundraising and would like to join the Resource Development Committee please contact Lisa Boccia.

Join a Project

Project REHAB is our Rebuilding Biloxi initiative. Headed by our past Board president Bart Tucker, volunteer teams spend three weeks at a time rehabilitating hurricane-damaged houses in Biloxi, Miss. Skilled volunteers are critical, but others are welcome as well. Learn more about volunteering in Biloxi.

Support Restore

The Habitat ReStore functions primarily through volunteer effort. Volunteers perform many of the day-to-day tasks of preparing items for sale, stocking shelves and racks, pricing items, answering phones and assisting customers. If you're looking for a different volunteer opportunity, the ReStore is right for you! Learn more about current ReStore volunteer opportunities.

Build a Playhouse

Are you looking for an opportunity to help out your community through Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia but don't have a lot of time to invest? Building a playhouse is a fun and convenient way to raise money for Habitat. All you need to do is get a group of people to help build the playhouse and devise a way to use it to raise money for families in need. Learn more building a playhouse.

Schedule a Workday

A day on a Habitat work site for a group of 15-30 is a wonderful opportunity for team building. On-going opportunities are available through our construction projects, however, sponsoring organizations have first choice on any volunteer workdays. Learn more about current construction volunteer opportunities.

Join a Committee

Our committees are made up of diverse groups of people who wish to share their skills in a particular administrative area of our affiliate. Most committees have regular meeting times, so a time commitment of at least an hour a month is requested of active committee members. Whether you wish to help plan special events or want to work closely with Habitat families, Habitat has a need for you and your expertise! Learn more about joining a committee.
