Michael Burke serves as the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at Habitat NOVA. In this role, he is responsible for identifying and cultivating institutional funding prospects, as well as stewarding current funding partners. Michael works in close collaboration with the Executive Director, other senior staff, board members, as well as program, construction, and communication staff to expand and enhance institutional fundraising and the strategic goals of the organization.
Michael is a seasoned development professional, with extensive fundraising experience at the national, regional, and local levels. Prior to joining Habitat NOVA he served as Associate Director of Institutional Fundraising at Prosperity Now and Director of Development at the Afterschool Alliance, both in Washington, DC. Previously, he served as Development Officer/Grants Manager at The Salvation Army of Central Kentucky, and Manager of Research & Development at United Way of the Bluegrass.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s Degree in Theology and Church History from the Lexington Theological Seminary.
