Noemi Riveira has served as the Director of Real Estate Development since 2008. Noemi is responsible for identifying and managing development opportunities for Habitat NOVA’s pipeline. As Director of Real Estate Development, she is involved in every aspect of predevelopment for all Habitat NOVA construction projects; site acquisition, due diligence, planning and the preconstruction process for new construction and rehabilitation projects. She specifically focuses on identifying and analyzing potential project sites, project scope, working with donors, developers, the design team, and the subcontractor community to maximize constructability while minimizing project cost.
Noemi has broad and extensive experience in the field of architecture. Prior to joining Habitat NOVA she enjoyed working at several architectural firms in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area and specialized in design and construction/contract documents of residential, institutional and commercial projects. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute, ULI Women’s Leadership Initiative, ULI Washington Housing Initiative Council, Washington Building Congress and the US Green Building Council.
Noemi has a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Fl., and an alumna of the Urban Land Institute Regional Land Use Leadership Institute – Class of 2013.
