Penny Bolden brings global experience to her role as the Corporate Relations Manager at Habitat NOVA, where she currently manages corporate fundraising activities, in addition to identifying, executing, and cultivating strategic partnerships.
A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Australia, Penny’s international career includes overseeing strategic marketing initiatives for Otis Elevator’s Asia Pacific headquarters and later as business development director for PRA International where she managed more than $30 million in new global business.
Penny’s nonprofit experience includes developing high profile relationships with top-tier corporations and foundations. She worked as director of economic development for the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation and as senior adviser strategic partnerships for Blue Star Families, cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial corporate relationships that connect military families to their communities. Her proven success resulted in significantly amplifying the nonprofits’ mission and impact as well as identifying more than $2 million in new funding sources and creating more than 10,000 new jobs.
Her volunteer community work includes serving on committees for the San Diego World Trade Center, the MIT Enterprise Forum, and the Marine Corps Key Volunteer program. She is a founding board member of the non-profit, GetGear.org, and is currently the Yearbook Committee Chair at Haycock Elementary School.
